About R-1234yf Refrigerant

R-1234yf is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant developed as a lower-global-warming-potential alternative for compatible applications.

Its chemical structure contains hydrogen, fluorine, and carbon atoms with a carbon-carbon double bond. R-1234yf has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low global warming potential (GWP) compared with many older refrigerants.

Application method

🛠️ Application Method

  1. Ensure your HVAC system is specifically designed for R-32 refrigerant.
  2. Wear appropriate PPE and work in a well-ventilated area due to mild flammability (A2L rating).
  3. Connect your charging hose to the cylinder’s left-hand threaded valve using a compatible adapter if needed.
  4. Charge the system carefully according to the manufacturer's specifications and pressure guidelines.
  5. Once finished, tightly close the valve and store the cylinder upright in a cool, dry location.

⚠️ Warning: R-32 is not a retrofit gas. Use only with systems that are approved and labeled for R-32. Improper use may result in damage or hazards.
